our design and engineering teams are capable of assisting customers
in designing complementary parts, as well as fabrication and assembly

Design
& Development
Maximizing its vertical integration, patented
tooling technology and machine capacity, Royal specializes in
the design and production of customized profiles to meet specific
customer needs. Royal's in-house engineering design teams work
cross functionality to develop original new designs for a variety
of products, from innovative profiles in vinyl window & door
systems to PVC paneling, POP displays, furniture parts and accessories,
as well as an array of customized parts for most any industry.
Our engineers and technical operations teams have utilized the
benefits of vertical integration to maintain a high standard in
profile extrusion, as well as making parts such as metal stamping,
injection molded and material handling products. Along with Royal's
corporate development teams, each of our extrusion facilities
have their own staff of production and customer service specialists.
Prototype
Design
Royal's in-house design and development teams take full
advantage of its state-of-the-art rapid prototyping machine to
ensure that products are developed economically, practically and
with the maximum feasibility for production and distribution.
The prototypes created by the rapid prototype machine are real
working, resilient parts, which gives our customers a tangible
sense of the actual look and feel of the part in development.
Tooling
Royal's corporate park in Woodbridge, Ontario, houses a unique team of creative plastics professionals. Our team of specialists are dedicated and involved on a daily basis in the development of new concepts in plastics, innovation in machinery, experimentation with new materials, intricate extrusion tooling design, in-line and off-line fabrication equipment as well as surface finishes and textures. Royal's patented tooling technology is renowned worldwide and has contributed to the Group’s rapid growth and expansion. This technology gives Royal the competitive advantage to cost-effectively manufacture die and calibration systems in a fraction of the time compared to conventional systems.
Advanced Extrusion Technology
Our consistent, high-quality extrusion has its roots in our commitment to standardized manufacturing systems and our proprietary extrusion equipment, which is designed and manufactured at Royal machinery plants in North America and Europe. Royal's extruders, downstream equipment and material handling systems are specifically designed to produce superior extrusions using Royal's own material formulations. With over 20 custom profile extrusion plants in North America and an additional five in strategic global locations, Royal is well positioned to be highly responsive to our customers' needs with unparalleled consistency.

Advanced Material Formulations
Royal’s superior product quality and our commitment to customer service begins with our in-house production of the raw materials used in the extrusion process. Unlike most other extruders, Royal manufactures its own resin, chemical additives and compounds, which allows for greater control of the finished goods, and significant benefit for our customers in product differentiation. Royal continuously develops and refines materials to advance the performance of our customers' products. Royal's rigid PVC used in Royal Building Systems is certified in 60 countries around the world. From the U.S.A. to Japan, and Germany to Australia, our materials have been tested and approved around the globe for interior and exterior applications. Our formulations’ outperform in products such as windows and doors, where the materials are subjected year-round to areas with extreme climates like Mexico and Alaska.
Our exterior grade compounds are formulated with Royal's own stabilizing system and produced at our ultra modern facility. Royal uses the highest quality raw materials to ensure UV inhibition and protection of the underlying polymer mix. Royal's rigid PVC extrusions not only exceed the testing requirements of ASTM, and CSA, but they are also listed within the AAMA certification program and UL registered.
